Kartesia backs Konvekta’s growth

European financing specialist Kartesia is supporting Konvekta and our owner Verdane with long-term financing. Both investors invest out of funds classified as “Article 9” under the EU’s sustainable finance rules (SFDR).

St. Gallen, 6 October 2026 – Kartesia, the European specialist provider of capital solutions, has provided Verdane with a tailored financing solution to support its investment in Konvekta. It strengthens the partnership between Verdane and Konvekta that began in 2025 and provides additional growth capital. Verdane has owned Konvekta since 2025 and remains its owner.

Strong partners for the long term

With Verdane and Kartesia, Konvekta has two partners who share a long-term view. The new financing gives us additional flexibility for our next growth steps. For customers and partners, nothing changes: the same contacts, and development and production remain in St. Gallen.

Impact, assessed by our investors

EU rules require funds to disclose how sustainable their investments are. Funds classified as “Article 9” must have sustainable investment as their objective and invest in companies that contribute to environmental or social goals.

Verdane and Kartesia both invest out of Article 9 funds. For Kartesia, it is the first dedicated impact investment in the DACH region, from its Kartesia Impact Fund. Both assessed Konvekta’s impact as part of their investment process. As Kartesia’s Nico Wellm puts it: “Energy recovery systems, and Konvekta’s tailor-made systems in particular, can materially reduce energy consumption and emissions for customers while delivering an attractive return on investment.”

“Our customers invest in systems that run for decades,” says Kersten Barth, CEO of Konvekta. “With Verdane and Kartesia, we have partners who think just as long-term. This allows us to keep developing our systems and to be there for our customers worldwide.”ho think just as long-term.
