High-quality components

Konvekta manufactures heat exchangers using automation and in compliance with strict quality requirements. Only high-quality components from other manufacturers are used, which results in a very high system availability and a long service life of the systems.

Redundant designs

Konvekta energy recovery systems are built with a high degree of redundancy to prevent failure. Two identically sized pumps are installed. Each one can operate 100% of the total flow rate required. The pumps are alternated with different hours of operation, so the aging and wear of the pumps is different and simultaneous failure is very unlikely.

Watchdog function for the control

The Konvekta Controller is equipped with emergency control modules with watchdog function, so that the system can be operated even in case of failure of the controller unit.

24/7 remote access

Konvekta systems are equipped with remote access. This provides the user with greatly enhanced security. The Konvekta engineering team is available 24/7 as a stand-by service worldwide. This means that any system can be checked, controlled and/or operated remotely at any time, ensuring system function at all times.

Continuous system monitoring by Konvekta

Konvekta engineers access systems as part of preventive system maintenance and monitor the systems remotely, supporting the on-site operating personnel. This proactively detects potential problems before they can impact system performance.

Easy cleaning of the heat exchangers

Konvekta heat exchangers have a very specific design with double-sided headers and achieve the highest transfer values. The fin thickness of Konvekta heat exchangers is 0.4mm, which makes them not only very efficient but also sturdy. This allows Konvekta heat exchangers to be cleaned continuously from one side with a 2,600 psi high-pressure water jet without damaging the fins. A fin comb, which is used in classical heat exchangers and affects the stability in the long run, is not required for Konvekta heat exchangers. The extremely efficient and sturdy design makes maintenance much easier and guarantees a long lifetime of the heat exchanger.

Konvekta uses common and high-quality components, which can be maintained easily and without much effort. This ensures a long service life and the availability of spare parts and service support.

24/7 service hotline

All customers have access to a 24/7 service hotline free of charge worldwide, which also enables 24/7 remote access. One call is all it takes for the system to be checked and controlled. There are generally no costs for the call or the assistance.

Meaningful data

Extensive operating data is available to the operator. This is for verification of the performance of the system as well as for support in case of service.

INTUITIVE OPERATION

Automatic real-time monitoring

The Konvekta-Controller is unique in terms of function and performance. The Konvekta Controller stores the performance maps of all ERS heat exchangers. It can access a large number of sensors, which enables the Controller to assess at any time whether all measured values are also theoretically optimal. Among other things, this means that the Konvekta Controller measures an outgoing water-glycol temperature and back-calculates and assesses this measured value with the heat exchanger maps and characteristics in the system. This makes it possible to verify at any time how the measured performance compares to theoretical maximum possible performances.
This comparison is made every second, in real time, across all measured and calculated values, with a Digital Twin working in the background, assessing and optimizing system operation. This real-time monitoring is displayed on the Konvekta Eye and can be interpreted in a glance.

User-friendly system interface

The Konvekta Controller is equipped with a dashboard on the control cabinet as well as an IP connection to the building automation. The layout is clear and intuitive, allowing instant assessment of overall system performance and efficiency. All aggregated data and measured values (both current and historical) are monitored and displayed.

Current energy evaluation

The Konvekta Controller contains clear, comprehensive, energy monitoring of all energy and power quantities. All energy quantities are archived on the Konvekta Controller. They are automatically converted to current and site-specific key figures such as heating cost, cooling cost and CO2 generation. This allows the owner and operator to see at any time energy requirements, energy recovered, and energy savings in dollars.

Extensive records

All measured values within the ERS, as well as all measurements upstream or downstream of the energy recovery system are recorded and displayed by trend in the controller at all times. These trend recordings are visible on the system dashboard (depending on the project and the amount of data for different lengths of time). Historical data can identify past performance issues that need attention very easily. Comprehensive data on all relevant values is available at any time.
