Guaranteed performance

The performances shown on the data sheets for the final design are guaranteed. Konvekta guarantees our system performance not only on paper, but always proves it in practice. As a result, you can rely on our calculations and size boilers, chillers, and fans accordingly which will reduce first cost.
Simple example: the supply air temperature after the Konvekta energy recovery coil is guaranteed and meets the design SAT so no heating or cooling coils are required.
The energy recovery system is optimized for post occupancy conditions which are often at part load compared to the design loads.

Integral energy planning

The designs of Konvekta are based on the respective site data and on the turn down conditions. This provides for integral energy planning, which represents the system operation as precisely as possible and also shows the annual energy requirements. Therefore, the efficiency and all economic key figures of the ventilation system can be determined and assessed with great accuracy.

Economic efficiency calculations

Meaningful profitability calculations for the owner and operator from the point of view of investment and operating costs are available in the design phase with each design iteration. This means that investment decisions can be made on the basis of reliable assessment criteria.

Digital Twin in design and operation

With its technology, Konvekta very successfully implements the Digital Twin approach in design and optimization as well as in the actual control. This facilitates the design work, because on this basis different designs and their effects can be compared directly in detail. During operation, the Digital Twin always provides the benchmark for the maximum achievable performance. Only then is it possible to evaluate the current efficiency of the ERS.

Data-based design documents optimized over all operating hours of the year

The system design at Konvekta isn’t simply based on the extreme winter and summer case, as is common in the market. Their efficiency has a significant impact on the overall efficiency and recovery due to the higher operating times.
Konvekta systems are designed for all operating patterns and modes in the annual cycle. This results in higher savings and therefore higher efficiency and economy of the ventilation systems.

Detailed coordinated design documents

Konvekta provides detailed designs and performance analysis to the design engineer early in the planning phase. Konvekta provides the design and selection of all required components, pipe sizing and coordinates with the manufacturer of the air handling units.

Data access and interface verification

Konvekta systems include a number of sensors that are directly accessed by the system. This ensures reliable data and high availability during operation and guarantees compatibility in terms of data security and access. Konvekta controls all interfaces for the ERS, in particular, critical heating and cooling sequences and the communication with the building automation system.

Interactive planning processing

In the design phase, the designs are discussed with the owner’s engineer to provide the most efficient system for the building. This allows ideas and added features to be quickly assessed and sensible decisions to be made.

TECHNICAL FLEXIBILITY

Applicable everywhere

The closed-loop system technology is the only type of heat recovery system that can be used anywhere without any objections, since the outside air is completely separated from the exhaust air. The Konvekta technology also makes it possible to combine several ventilation systems using a central energy recovery system. A large number of supply air and exhaust air zones can be combined which provides great flexibility in planning the air distribution system. Physics is the only technical limit.

Multi-functional and freely combinable

Due to the control intelligence and constant real-time monitoring, a wide variety of applications can be combined in any way and operated efficiently. The efficiency and the effect of the individual measures as well as their combination is ensured in the optimization phase. This allows Konvekta to combine many ventilation zones, to integrate free cooling, to guarantee reheating, or simply to meet the required supply air temperature in winter.

Flexibility with air handler location

The technology of the closed-loop systems allows flexibility with the location of all air handlers and system components. This leads to a massive increase in flexibility in the HVAC layout and to a significant reduction in the space required for the HVAC components.
