Thanks to ongoing development and constant adaptation to the latest technology, Konvekta has evolved over the decades into the leading manufacturer of complex high-performance energy recovery systems. Konvekta combines tradition with state-of-the-art technology.
In 1975 Konvekta started the development of software for the energetic and economic optimization of energy recovery systems. Later, the building simulation program DOE-2 was integrated as a basis for these optimization calculations.
Due to the first extensive calculations in supercomputer centers of that time, Konvekta was able to gain a technological advantage early on. The latest computer platforms and innovative calculation algorithms significantly shortened the computing time for simulations and optimizations, enabling Konvekta to implement detailed calculations in the Digital Twin approach with high precision in the shortest possible time. Today, the Konvekta Controller is able to perform demand-based control, provide proof of energy recovery, and ensure continuous function monitoring of the entire system. Thanks to this continuous development, Konvekta systems are world leaders with their unique technology.

Application of new approaches to mathematics

The application of new approaches to mathematics made it possible to develop new software that achieved significantly higher computing speeds. This allowed the system limits to be greatly extended and the mutual influences of the various measures to be taken into account; i.e. the new software permits integral planning of the entire high-performance energy recovery system as part of the building services engineering. Syskon allows a total cost analysis, i.e. optimization of all investment costs incurred by the building owner. Moreover, the energy demand of the air conditioning systems can be optimized, which reduces CO2 emissions. At the same time, Syskon is able to simulate and optimize complex topologies and application combinations realistically.

Integration of the latest hardware generation and renewal of the software. The continuous comparison between the calculated TARGET values of important plant data and the actually achieved ACTUAL values allows an assessment of the plant operation. Any malfunctions are immediately detected, analyzed and reported. This continuous function monitoring enables a significant increase in operational reliability.

Control of the entire energy recovery system. With the delivery not only of the ERS heat exchangers, but also of the ERS regulation and the hydraulic assembly, the step from component supplier to system supplier was made.
